A Successful Vote!
In January 2016, the School Committee voted to shift the high school from a 7:40 a.m. start to an 8:30 a.m. start for the 2016-2017 school year.

In March 2017, the School Committee voted to delay implementation of the Healthy Start Time for the 2017-2018 due to budgetary constraints.
Really? Buried In Another Strategic Plan?
Precious little has been done. At a January School Committee meeting, Superintendent Messore stated there is no plan to implement a change in school start times for the 2018-2019 school year.
Transportation Statement Released
KidsFirst Barrington releases an official statement highlighting Barrington-specific issues regarding transportation inefficiencies. In addition to providing potential solutions, the document urges the District to leverage best practices of other RI Communities.
